any gluten free wheat free bread??
hi just wondering if there are any gluten free/ wheat free bread available on the GMS? or in general? without the codex standard wheat startch???
There are three brands of gf/wf bread that we buy:
(1) Dietary Specials.
(2) Livwell.
(3) Giusto.
The first two are usually available in Dunnes Stores and the third in a pharmacy. The Giusto brand is listed on the GMS scheme.
Used also like the Ener-G brand - available from Ecodirect.
We are currently trying the Beiker brand of gf/wf bread which we got from Ecodirect - it is in her lunchbox today so waiting for the thumbs up/down response!

Glutafin do a GF WF bread as well the one that has wheat starch in it.
I have tried it toasted and it's lovely cos it has bigger slices than say dietary specials bread.
here is a link anyway -> http://www.glutafin.co.uk/Our-foods/long-life-bread/Gluten-Free-Wheat-Free-White
I came across it in a Super-Valu, not sure though if it is available on GMS

Hi Mob,
While Ecodirect are open Monday to Friday at present,
There is talk about a Saturday Opening for those that work and can't,
for one reason or another take home deliveries.
.
Time to be confirmed but it could be 10am to 2pm on Saturdays
starting in the not too distant future!
.
Best Regards,
David
