hi jess, sorry i havnt been near the computer in ages. i had the colonscopy and dr ryan said i hace divericilli but the pain is usually in the left side. she put me on spasmonal tab. they made my stomach very upset had to come off them. my gp put me on antibotics and i had the yorke allergy test done on wed. they are still talking about me being lactose intolerant. another set of foods i cant have !!. we will wait and see. your experiece sounds terrible hope you are feeling better now. evelyn

Had a follow up at the clinic in Tallaght hospital this morning. After being told at the last visit that they hadn't found anything wrong when they did the scope, they now say that they found a hiatus hernia. Did think the doctor I had on the last visit who told me there was nothing wrong was having a bit of a bad day. I was beginning to think I was a hypochondriac :lol:
On a more serious note, though, it again makes me wonder how much you can trust the doctors! They really are overworked.
Evelyn, how did you get on with the allergy testing?

hi jess, i had the yorke test and they found i had a food intolerence to cows milk and cashew ! i am now on rice milk not all of the time but mostly and i have improved greatly. although just had viral gastroenteritis and then my bowel got infected so have been off work for 8 days back tomorrow. im back with prof. ryan in feb. but i have lost faith in the whole system. ive had a tummy scan as well so just have to wait and see.
