does anyone know of a connection between Coeliac disease and migrane type headaches? I have one recently diagnosed eight year old and a 12 year old with bad headaches and stomach, should he be tested too???
thanks

If one family member has been diagnosed with CD then all the others should be tested because it runs in families.

I used to have bad & frequent migraines before being diagnosed & going GF.

Now they are very rare and mild.

Postby emilyallsz » Fri May 26, 2006 2:04 pm

hi all!
i just visited galway and dublin from the states (back about two weeks now)
here is a link to celiac forum in the U.S. this one goes directly to a page where there are links to several great studies done on migraine headaches and celiac disease- i think one says that migraine sufferers are ten times more likely than the control group to have celiac .
happy reading!
