Dizziness???
Hi
I'm newly diagnosed since Aug 09, I felt great the first few weeks, but haven't been feelin as good lately, I know there must be cross contamination somewhere along the line for me, but not feeling the worst.
My question is I got full bloods/medical done every year for the last number of years, and the most recent was in October 08, when my haemoglobin and iron levels were slighty above average, how can things change so quick and there so low now, is it just it reaches a point and tips over now that im a coeliac, or could it be a wrong diagnosis?
I got bloods done in the mater and full ogd/colonoscopy and they said there was severe damage in my small intestine consisten with coeliac disease.
Also, just one more thing, in the last few weeks i've been getting lightheaded or dizzy every time I get up from my chair in work, what could this be??

Getting dizzy when rising from a chair is often a problem called "postural hypotension" or "orthostatic hypotension".
Here's a Mayo Clinic definition:

Here's a large body of information:

However, if you feel there is a risk of fainting and falling, then you must contact your GP or other qualified healthcare professional.
You may be taking a medication that can lead to this happening ("blood pressure tablets", etc) and it has been known for this to lead to people falling and being injured.
Hope that helps, without worrying you too much.

I think the dizzinesss is all part of nutritional deficiencies. I had it at least once a day or more for almost a year after diagnosis. My nutritionist who I started attending in August is a kyropractor also and she said my vertebrae were out of alignment so she made slight adjustments each time I went there. She said when your neck and head are out of alignment it can manifest as dizziness. She asked me if I had any back pain and I did but nothing to be too bothered about as it came and went. But my main problem was lack of B12 and iron, Vit A, D, zinc, etc. She gave me digestive enzymes, an amino tonic for healing, Vit CQ 10, Vit D, etc. See my posts on other topics such as Support and Help. Take heart! You just need patience and a good nutritionist who will have a holistic attitude, the dieticians seem to have a different function but are good as regards avoidance of gluten.
