Childs birthday cake with animal decorations

Hosting a party

If you're throwing a party in your own home it’s probably easiest to make everything gluten-free. It is a good idea to test your recipes on some of your child's friends beforehand. There's nothing worse than the majority of the children saying they don't like the food.

The book ‘Gluten-Free All Sorts’ available from the office has some recipes suitable for children’s parties.

Going to a party

It's always a good idea to check with the party organizer be that another parent or a venue about the food that will be prepared for the party. Be ready to send your child with their own food as it is not always possible for busy parents or venues to cater for your child. It helps your child fit in if you can send along gluten-free alternatives similar to what everyone else will be eating.
