Crossed Grain Symbol

Please note the crossed grain or gluten-free symbol cannot be used on labels and packaging unless you have completed a licensing contract with Coeliac UK.

The Crossed Grain symbol is recognised worldwide as representing safe gluten-free foods. The symbol can only be used under licence by companies and organisations on food and drink products which meet certain criteria, and in certain publications after approval.

To use the Crossed Grain symbol your products must meet a range of criteria to ensure that they are gluten-free, both in terms of the ingredients and the production process.

Coeliac UK charge an annual licence fee and this varies according to the turnover of the gluten-free products listed in the licence. Additional products can be added to the licence at any stage throughout the year which does not incur any additional charges.
