Orange Cream Cheese Bakes

Introduction: 
Creamy orange flavoured cookies - crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside! Makes 10-12 cookies.
Preparation: 

Pre-heat the oven to 190°C/375°F/Gas Mark 5

Ingredients: 

50g (2oz) butter or margarine,
100g (4oz) soft brown sugar,
75g (3oz) cream cheese*
200g (8oz) JUVELA Gluten-Free Mix,
Juice and grated rind of an orange.

* Please check the Food List for suitable gluten-free brands.

Method: 
  • Cream together the butter, sugar and cream cheese.
  • Add the Gluten-free Mix, orange juice and rind and bring together to form a dough.

  • Knead lightly until smooth on a surface lightly dusted with Mix and roll out to 1cm (½ inch) thickness.
  • Cut into rounds using a pastry/cookie cutter and place well apart on a greased baking tray.
  • Bake in a pre-heated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden.
  • Allow to cool slightly before moving.
