Baking Cookies

The society has produced a cook book called "Gluten-Free All Sorts". Call the office to order your copy. The monthly newsletter, Coeliac News Online, always has a few seasonal recipes to try. There are also lots of recipes available in other gluten-free cook books and online.

Many household recipes can be adapted for use in gluten-free diets, provided that care is taken to omit or replace unsuitable ingredients with the gluten-free equivalent.

If self-raising flour is called for and your gluten-free flour is plain you'll need to add a gluten-free baking powder. Remember trial and error is needed to get successful baking results. Read our baking tips to understand more about gluten-free baking.
